Maude Zimmerli : Place de la République
(Piece 8, chain 2. In respose to Tanja Silvestrini)
"I hate pigeons.
I like the place where I live, but there are a lot of pigeons.
Today, I stopped on a square that is right next to my flat. There is a bus stop just next to it.
Today, instead of crossing it as usual, I stepped back and had a look at it.
I observed a bunch of roses floating in the arty fountain…
Surrounded by trash.
I remembered the tent that was planted over there in the grass…
Then removed a few days afterwards.
This square is called Place de la République
And somebody wrote « Macron in jail »
Writing these lines, I feel like we reject so many things
Sometimes without acknowledging them
Like this place, there are so many contradictions in me
That I’m starting to embrace
And I still hate pigeons…"
